About WeRoster
Simple staff rostering for New Zealand businesses, built and run by a small independent software company.
WeRoster is online rostering software for New Zealand cafes, retail stores and hospitality teams. It has been helping businesses build their weekly rosters for around ten years, and it is built and run by JCK XYZ LTD.
Why does WeRoster exist?
For most small teams, the real alternative to rostering software is a spreadsheet. Someone stays up on a Sunday night juggling who asked for what day off, who can only work mornings and whether the wage bill still makes sense, then sends a photo of the result to a group chat. Then someone calls in sick and it starts again.
WeRoster was created from the need for something better: a roster you can build in minutes, that staff can see on their phone, with availability and leave requests in the same place. If it isn't easy to use, it isn't worth your time.
Many of WeRoster's features exist because a customer asked for them. If it doesn't do something you need, tell us.
What we believe
Rostering should be near effortless
Building next week's roster should take minutes, not your Sunday night. Copy last week, tweak a few shifts, publish.
Built for how New Zealand works
National public holidays (including Matariki) appear on the roster automatically, prices are in NZ dollars, and the 15-minute grid suits rest and meal breaks.
Staff should have a say too
Staff set their own availability, request leave and see their shifts on their phone, so nobody has to text to ask when they're working.
Everything you need, nothing you don't
Every plan includes every feature. You pick a plan by team size, not by which features you are allowed to use.
Who builds WeRoster?
WeRoster is built and run by
JCK XYZ
(JCK XYZ LTD), an independent software company registered in the United Kingdom.
JCK XYZ LTD was founded by Jack Cruden, a software developer from New Zealand who is now based in the UK. Support questions come straight to the people who build WeRoster, so whoever answers your email can also fix the problem.
Being a Kiwi matters here. Public holidays, Mondayised days, Matariki and the way New Zealand cafes and shops actually roster are things WeRoster is built around, not an add-on for another market.
How does support work?
Email [email protected] and a real person from the WeRoster team will reply. There's no call centre and no ticket maze. You can also use the contact form, or send feedback from inside the app with the Feedback link in a store's menu.
Most questions are already answered in the support centre, with step by step guides such as getting started, building your first roster and plans and pricing. The FAQ covers the questions people ask before signing up.
