Running multiple stores

Run several stores from one WeRoster login, switch between them, share staff, and how people at more than one store are counted.

One WeRoster account can run as many stores as you need. Each store has its own rosters, staff, leave, shifts and settings, and they're all on your Stores page. Your subscription covers every active store you own and is based on the total number of people across them, with each person counted once even if they work at several stores.

Adding a store

  1. Click Stores in the top bar (on a phone, tap Stores in the bottom tab bar).
  2. Click New store at the top, or the Add another store card below your stores.
  3. Fill in Store name, Address, Roles and Roster hours, then click Create store.
  4. Click Add employees to add your team straight away, or Go to the store.

See Creating your first store.

The Stores page

Each active store is a card showing its name, address, how many people and managers it has, and quick links to Rosters, Staff and Leave (with a badge counting leave requests waiting for a decision). Click the card to open the store.

Archived stores are listed separately under Archived stores. See Archiving a store.

Owners see every store they own. Managers see the stores they manage.

Switching between stores

  • Inside a store: click the small arrow next to the store's name in the store header and pick another store under Switch store. You stay on the same tab, so you can jump from one store's Staff to another's. The arrow only shows when you have more than one active store.
  • On your Timetable: managers and owners see a card for each store (up to six) under Your stores, showing who's on now. If you have more than six, click All (for example All 8 stores) to see the rest.

Staff who work at several stores

Add them to each store with the same email address. They keep one login, and:

  • On the Timetable, they switch stores with the store name under the Timetable heading.
  • Their Availability is shared across all their stores.
  • Their wage and weekly hours are set separately at each store.

Managers across stores

A manager can be added to as many of your stores as you like. Add them in the Managers list on each store's Staff tab. They'll see each of those stores on their Stores page.

Separating sections of one business

A store doesn't have to be a separate building. Some businesses create one store per section (for example Kitchen and Front of house) so each has its own roster. Since each person is only counted once on your plan, someone on both rosters doesn't cost extra.

Who can do this

Only owners can create stores (a brand new account can also create its first store during setup). Owners and managers can add staff to the stores they run.
