Contracted hours warnings
Set each person's weekly hours and WeRoster warns you on the roster when someone is under or over.

If you set each staff member's weekly hours, the roster editor warns you when someone is rostered for fewer or more hours than agreed. A button with a warning icon appears at the top of the roster, for example 3 warnings (on a phone, just the icon and the number). Click it to see the list under Contracted hours this week, such as Aroha Smith needs 4 more hours. or Sam Lee has 2 too many hours.
Setting weekly hours
Weekly hours are set per person, per store, on the store's Staff tab:
- Open the store and click the Staff tab.
- Click Edit next to the person (on a phone, tap the ⋯ menu, then Edit details).
- Enter Weekly hours: a single number like
30, or a range like15-20. - Click Save changes.
To set the same hours for several people at once, click Hours (or Wages and hours) above the staff list, enter the Weekly hours, tick the people under Apply to, and click the update button (for example Update 3 people). See Changing wages and contracted hours.
How the warnings work
- With a single number, you're warned if the person is rostered for anything other than exactly that many hours.
- With a range, you're warned only if they're below the lower number or above the higher one.
- People with no weekly hours (blank or
0) never get a warning. - Hours are totalled across the whole Monday to Sunday week for that store. The warnings update every time a day saves.
Warnings are a guide. They don't stop you publishing, but the Publish & notify confirmation reminds you how many there are.
Who can do this
Owners and managers see the warnings and can set weekly hours. Employees never see them.
