Rostering on your phone
Build and change rosters from a phone or tablet with tap-to-roster: tap the start, tap the end.

You can build a whole roster from your phone. Because dragging on a touch screen scrolls the page, the roster editor uses tap-to-roster instead: tap the slot where the shift starts, then tap the slot where it ends, and WeRoster fills everything in between. It saves automatically.
Opening the roster
- Tap Stores in the bottom tab bar, then your store.
- Tap Next week at the top, or tap a week in the Weeks list.
Use the week strip under the buttons to move between weeks, and the row of days in the summary card to jump straight to a day instead of scrolling.
Adding a shift
- Swipe sideways on a day to find the start time. Staff names stay pinned on the left as you scroll.
- Tap the 15-minute slot where the shift starts. It turns blue and gets an orange outline, and a bar at the bottom of the screen says Now tap where Sam's shift ends (Mon).
- Tap the slot where the shift ends, in the same person's row. The whole stretch is filled in and the bar disappears.
To add a single 15-minute slot, tap it once, then tap Done on the bar.
Removing time
Tap a slot that's already blue to start removing instead. The bar says Now tap where the stretch to remove from Sam ends. Tap where the removal should end and everything between the two taps is cleared.
Changing your mind
Tap Done on the bar, or tap the outlined slot again, if you don't want to finish the stretch. The single slot you first tapped stays as it is, so tap it once more to undo it if needed. Starting in a different person's row also cancels the first tap.
The roster buttons on a phone
On a phone the roster's buttons sit just under the week's title:
- the warnings button (a warning icon and a number), if anyone is under or over their contracted hours,
- the ⋯ button, with the same options as More on a computer (copying, lock, unpublish and PDF downloads),
- the main button: Publish for a draft, or Notify once it's published.
On a phone, the green Publish button does the same as Publish & notify on a computer: after you confirm, it publishes the roster and emails your staff. To publish without emailing anyone, tap the arrow next to it and choose Publish without notifying. See Publishing, notifying and locking rosters.
